ss -peanut | grep <port>-

* To check  network ports from one server to another

telnet <hostname/IP> port or

nc -vz <hostname/IP> <port>

* To find the top 5 resource consumer process 

ps -eo pmem,pcpu,vsize,pid,cmd | sort -k 1 -nr | head -5

free -g
